I'll be in Melbourne this week and I'm wondering what kind of weather to expect. I've heard Melbourne can be quite unpredictable - is it true you can experience four seasons in one day?
Specifically curious about:
- Daytime temperatures
- Whether I need to pack layers
- Any rain forecast for the next few days

Melbourne weather is definitely unpredictable! I have lived here for 3 years and the four seasons in one day thing is real. For autumn, expect temperatures between 10-20C during the day. Definitely pack layers - a light jacket is essential. Mornings can be chilly but afternoons often warm up. There might be some light rain this week so bring an umbrella just in case. The city is beautiful in autumn though, especially around the gardens!
