I am planning to move to Austin next month and work remotely. Looking for neighborhoods that are affordable but still have good coffee shops and coworking spaces where I can work from. I have been looking at East Austin and South Lamar. Anyone have experience living in these areas? Budget is around $1200 for a one-bedroom.

I moved to Austin about 6 months ago and I absolutely love East Austin. There are tons of coffee shops within walking distance and the food scene is incredible. The rent is a bit higher than South Lamar but the walkability makes up for it. Happy to answer any specific questions about the area!
