Just got back from a weekend in Connemara and I'm still not over it. Here's my quick guide if anyone's thinking of doing the same:
**Day 1: The National Park**
Started at Kylemore Abbey (yes, it's touristy, but the gardens are stunning). Then hiked the Diamond Hill trail - about 4km with incredible views. Finished in Letterfrack for a pint at Ryders.
**Day 2: The Coast**
Drove the Sky Road loop - 2 hours of pure magic. Stopped at Lettergesh Beach for a swim (brrrr but worth it). Roundstone village for lunch - the fish and chips at Moran's is unreal.
**Tips:**
- Rent a car, no way around it
- Book accommodation early - it's busy
- Bring waterproofs AND sunscreen - weather changes every 20 mins
- Start early to avoid crowds
The best part? It's all free. No entrance fees, just pay for parking and petrol. Ireland, you absolute gem 💚
