Headed to the Union Square Greenmarket this morning and it is peak season right now. The ramps are in, asparagus is everywhere, and the strawberries from a farm upstate are actually sweet. There is a mushroom guy who brings in wild foraged varieties that I have never seen in stores. Also found a bakery stall selling fresh baguettes for $4. Gets busy around 10am so go early if you want first pick. They accept EBT now too which is good to know.
