Hey everyone! I’m a 22-year-old from Singapore and just arrived in Shanghai for a language program at Fudan University. Super excited but also kinda overwhelmed. I’ve heard that local apps like WeChat, Alipay, and Didi are essential, but idk how to set them up properly as a foreigner. Also, I’m trying to find a budget-friendly place to live near Fudan — any recommendations on neighborhoods or affordable rentals? Would really appreciate advice from anyone who’s been through this or locals who know the area well. Thanks a ton!
