Had to vent about this somewhere. Visited Queenstown last weekend and the prices are absolutely wild now. $28 for a burger and fries at a random place near the mall. A coffee was $7.50. A pint of local beer - $14.
I remember coming here 5 years ago and it was expensive but manageable. Now it feels like they're pricing out everyone except tourists with deep pockets.
The worst part? The food wasn't even that good. Felt like tourist trap pricing through and through.
Anyone else feel like Queenstown has jumped the shark? It's beautiful obviously but the value just isn't there anymore.
