Visited Gamcheon Culture Village in Busan and the colors are even more vivid in person than in photos. The houses cascade down the hillside in every shade of blue, yellow, pink, and green. Wandered through the narrow alleys for hours, found tiny galleries and cafes tucked into unexpected corners, and had the best fish cake soup of my life from a street vendor. The village was a refugee settlement after the Korean War and the history makes the beauty more poignant. Busan is worth the trip from Seoul.
